Well Crafted
The 2019 Chardonnay Oceano Spanish Springs Vineyard comes from a cooler site outside of San Luis Obispo that's just a little over a mile from the Pacific. It has a reductive, slightly stinky nose that cleans up with air, offering tart lime-like fruits, some sappy herb and almost pine-like nuances, medium body, good overall balance, and a clean finish. It's not going to be for everyone, but it’s well-made and certainly distinctive.

A bright nose of gardenias, jasmine, peach, lime, quince, green mango, and lemon grass. A fresh lime attack leads to a juicy mouth of apricot, nectarine, grapefruit, kiwi and tangerine. A long refreshing Meyer lemon aftertaste lingers.
