In 1906, the Corrézien Jean-Baptiste Audy created his business and then invested in several Libournais crus. His grandson Pierre Bourotte and, since 2003, his great-grandson Jean-Baptiste manage the house and the family vineyards: Courlat, former stronghold of the Barons de Montagne (15 ha in lussac), Bonalgue (9.5 ha) and Clos du Clocher (5.9 ha) in pomerol, Les Hauts-Conseillants (10 ha) in Lalande.
A predominantly Merlot vintage (85%), formed in 1972, shortly before the birth of Jean-Baptiste Bourotte. Reflecting its appellation by the variety of its terroirs (the clay-sandy soils of Néac and the gravel of Lalande), this 2015 is also the image of its vintage of great maturity. Its very fine palette combines ripe black fruits with an elegant woodiness with shades of cedar, sweet spices and pepper. The palate does not disappoint: there is breadth, sufficient structure, aromas of cherry, stone and almond and tannins well coated, toasted and cocoa.
