Originally founded in 1889 by Joaquín Martínez Bujanda, his great grandchildren have since followed in his footsteps and in 2009 created Vina Bujanda, one of five cooperative wineries that have come together to create Familia Martínez Bujanda Winery. Made up of 14 small parcels consisting of 20-60 year old vines grown on a mix of clay, lime and sandy soils, Vina Bujanda grows many varietals. This medium bodied wine is made from 100% Tempranillo and boasts notes of red and black fruits and is versatile enough to be enjoyed on its own or paired with many dishes.
