A former Wine of the Year from Le Grand Guide des Vins de France, winemaker Roland Podenas crafts some of the best $20 reds in France. This single vineyard Greviere has put the obscure village of Madiran back on the wine map, as this blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Tannat are very similiar to drinking full-bodied Bordeaux. Plump and round with loads of blackberry, black plum and blueberry fruit with toasted notes and baking spices, Tannat is gracefully balanced with the Cabernet Sauvignon for a long, juicy finish and pleasantly gripping tannins. Not to mention the ability to age for 10+ years. Rated 93 Points at $50 a bottle, if you love French reds, this is a must buy for $14.99!
