Previous vintages of Vavasour Sauvignon Blanc have an impressive lineage including the coveted Trophy for best Sauvignon Blanc in the world at the Decanter World Wine Awards. Not to be outdone the 2022 has also taken out top gong at the 2022 New Zealand International Wine Show! Pioneers of the Awatere sub- region of Marlborough the fruit for this is all from the original home block. Nothing but impressive from the Awatere Valley's oldest winery.

On the palate – vibrant, saline, crisp, salivating and savoury, everything the bouquet suggests. Plush and vibrant, great mouthfeel and classic flavours. Best drinking from 2023 through 2025."

"The 2020 vintage is an excellent example of the fresh, punchy sub-regional style, with slightly riper, less herbaceous fruit characters than many. Bright, light lemon/green, it is aromatic, full-bodied and vigorous, with strong, vibrant melon, citrus and green capsicum flavours, and a crisp, dry (3.6 grams/litre of residual sugar), lingering finish. It's drinking well now."
