DESCRIPTION
Pam de Nas is a red wine produced by the Trossos del Priorat winery in the Priorat. Trossos del Priorat is a small family winery that cultivates the vineyard by following the principles of organic farming.
The winery is certified, although their wines are not as they purchase a small percentage of the grapes from old uncertified vines.
Pam de Nas is a blend of typical varieties of Priorat, such as Grenache and Carignan. The grapes come from both their own farms and local farmers.
Pam de Nas is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, 50% are new barrels and 50% are barrels one year old.
After aging, the wine is refined in bottle for 20 more months.
A complex wine, true to the terroir and the philosophy of Priorat.
Tasting Notes
COLOR:
Intense ruby red.
NOSE:
Notes of wood, blackcurrant jam and some hints of smoke on the nose.
TASTE:
Flavors of chocoberry and blackberry, with medium acidity. Smooth on the palate, yet with high tannins and a long finish.
