As the largest cooperative in Piedmont Terre del Barolo represents hundreds of small growers giving them access to amazing quality fruit from all the classic DOCG zones. Started in 1958 by Arnaldo Rivera, a teacher/mayor with 21 local growers, Terre del Barolo has grown to over 400 growers.
The Barbera is concentrated and smooth: rich and fruity with medium acidity. On the medium-bodied palate, black fruits, cherry, and spices are layered with mineral and graphite notes. The finish is well balanced with the plum, acidity and spices in equal harmony. A nice match with pasta dishes, of course, or baked pork medallions.
