Siema
An International grape, this Merlot grows in the western side of Sicily where they find ideal weather conditions--warm and often windy-- expressly Sicilan in character. Harvested by hand, de-stemmed and macerated at controlled temperature between 24 and 27°C. Aged in stainless stell vats for 6/8 months and stored one month in bottle before being marketed. The Siema Vineyards family of wines are a celebration of the best and the brightest classic wines from some of our favorite wine estates. Siema staff carefully select an estate that represents the traditional winemaking methods of the region, coupled with the ability to create a wine for the US market that has significant value. Our Cabernet Sauvignon is made by the esteemed Sicilian estate owned by the Alcesti family.
Tasting Note & Food Pairings
This wine is intense ruby red in colour. Full and
intense aromas of red-berried fruits on the nose, and
rich and persistent on the palate. Ideal paired with
red mets, cheese and game.
