Many a self-respecting (large) winery makes a wood-aged Chardonnay. After all, quite a few people like that. Our tip: Taste that wine, then you immediately know what kind of pulp you have in the tub and what you can expect from the winemaker.
This Chardonnay from Shabo has a modest wood aging. Toast and vanilla on the nose and on the tongue, without pushing the yellow fruit of apple and plums into the background. Neatly made Chardonnay. Colors neatly within the lines. And that is also our only point of criticism. But yes. As a Ukrainian winemaker, you still have to convince the whole world.
