This successful blend of Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon opens with dark concentration and great density. Fornace offers impressive juiciness and rich flavours of red cherries, blackberries, spices and grilled herbs. Its full body, restrained acidity and silky tannins are perfectly balanced, with balsamic hints accompanying this attractive Supertuscan into a supple and long finish.
Dense and packed with plum, black cherry, leather, tobacco and spice flavors, this red is backed by a spine of stiff tannins. Offers sufficient fruit to match the structure, finding nice equilibrium in the end.
Mushrooms, meat and earth with some blackcurrant on the nose. Medium to full body, firm and chewy tannins and a long, fresh finish. Bright and exciting for this vintage. Undertones of gravel.
