This Sean Minor Sonoma Coast Chardonnay is going to inspire your menu-planning skills. It's phenomenally food friendly; all you have to do is figure out what to have. We suggest a late summer salad with toasted pecans, chèvre cheese, crisp pear and greens, dressed with a lemon vinaigrette. Or, cornmeal-crusted fried oysters. They'll both go perfectly with your first glasses. For an entree, we say grill up some shrimp and then toss them with garlic, cherry tomatoes, basil and pasta in an olive oil sauce. Sautéed salmon drizzled with a delicate dill cream sauce will work nicely too. Or maybe a big bowl of buttermilk fried chicken and some creamy slaw on the side. How does that sound?
Our Sonoma Coast Chardonnay is a light golden straw hue and displays aromas of citrus zest, pear, honeysuckle and pineapple with subtle notes of cinnamon and vanilla spice. On the entry, crisp vibrant flavors of pineapple, pear and green apple integrate well with a touch of minerality and a medium body mouth feel. These flavors linger to provide a full and lengthy finish.
