OUR STORY
Started in 1959 by Sonoma County pioneer Rod Strong and led by the Klein
family since 1989, Rodney Strong Vineyards is a family of passionate people
committed to crafting premium wines, great experiences and delivering a
vision for sustainability in Sonoma County. We are united by our passion for
wine and the belief that nothing brings people together better than sharing a
great bottle of Rodney Strong wine.
HISTORY
This wine is a delicate process in which our artisanal winemaking craft is
carefully balanced with innovation from one of the world’s best Pinot Noir
region—the Sonoma Coast in Sonoma County.
VINTAGE AND VINEYARD
The 2021 vintage turned out to be a fantastic growing season, with no frost
and very mild temperatures throughout most of the year. However, the
unpredictable spring rains ended in March in what would become one of the
driest seasons on record in Sonoma County. Predicting an early harvest due to
the dry conditions, we were surprised to find flavors and high acidities in the
berries dictating the need for patience. With everything in balance, we
harvested August 16-September 24.
TASTING
The beautifully colored, fresh and vibrant Rosé of Pinot Noir has aromas and
flavors of strawberry, melon and tropical fruits. Brilliant and bright with fresh
acidity, notes of citrus and a clean finish, enjoy this Rosé of Pinot Noir with
goat cheese, fresh Thai food dishes or spicy shrimp tacos.
