If a diamond is a girl’s best friend, then a diamond on a great bottle of wine must be everyone’s best friend. That’s exactly what Cameron and Steve Reynolds believed when they began their first father-son project. This 100% Cabernet comes from the famed Diamond Mountain region of Napa, known for its immensely powerful, bold, complex and cellar worthy wines. 2018 vintage hardly disappoints, in fact Mother Nature gave with abundance that memorable year. A near-perfect growing season endowed aromatic largesse, supple mouthfeel, and elongated, limber tannin structure. The wine leads with layers of lush fruit, giving way to exotic spice and leather. Armloads of ripe blueberry merge into waves of blackberry, boysenberry, lingonberry, and satiny leather - all framed in elegant French oak. The disarming finish lingers for a full minute and a half, and leaves one enthralled, longingly reaching for another satisfying sip.
