Revana is dedicated to exploring the potential of Cabernet Sauvignon through expressing the terroir of our own estate property in the St. Helena AVA as well as fruit sourced from some of the greatest vineyards in nested-AVAs of Napa Valley in Rutherford, Stag’s Leap District, and Howell Mountain. Being drawn from the entire Napa Valley, our Terroir Series is characterized by soft tannins and chocolatey notes. Balanced by Merlot and Petit Verdot grapes, this wine continually shows beautiful aromatics of brambly berries and baking spice, complimented by powerful dark fruit flavors and elegant tannins.
Our 2020 Terroir Series Cabernet Sauvignon is crafted from the fruit of a selection of two distinct vineyards within the St. Helena AVA. The rare volcanic Aiken Stoney Clay loam soil on the steep slopes of the Sodhani Vineyard and the mixture of gravel and sand from hillside erosion at the Revana Estate Vineyard produce fruit that comes together to create a wine with intense yet balanced flavor. Under the guidance of two Napa Valley legends, Vineyard Manager, Jim Barbour, and Winemaker, Thomas Rivers Brown, this fruit is hand-picked, hand-sorted, then whole berry fermented in micro-fermentation batches. This results in a richly textured Napa Valley Cabernet Blend that is incredibly approachable upon release.
