Dark inky in color with deep boysenberries, cinnamon, ground coffee, tree bark, wilderness on the nose. Palate is focused and concentrated with fresh blackberries and espresso notes. Wonderfully clean with a mineral backbone. From Paxton's family-owned organic, biodynamic vineyards in the McClaren Valle of Southern Australia. Established in 1979 by David Paxton, one of Australia's most highly respected viticulturalists (vineyard management), the family has nurtured their vineyards in the area for three decades.
