Winemaker Notes
Every vintage of Montinore Estate Reserve Pinot is a curated barrel selection from the best growing sites of that year. These blocks are fermented and aged separately, and then assembled after maturation through rigorous blending trials. From this process, the winemaking team creates a cuvee worthy of the "reserve" distinction.
Introductory aromas of cedar and spice, this wine delivers dark chocolate and tobacco leaf on the nose as it aerates. A savory, herbaceous quality on the entry introduces flavors of raspberry, Cola and baking spice. Well-structured tannins linger for a moderate length on the palate, suggesting great ageability.
