Heritage
he Mettler family heritage honors over 100 years and six generations of farming in Lodi with the release of this Copacetic red wine blend. Grapes for this wine were harvested from our estate vineyards where the deep-rooted vines thrive in rich, sandy loam soils.

Vineyards
Mokelumne River—The historical center of the Lodi wine region and where most of the Mettler Vineyards are planted. Referred to by some as “Old Lodi.” The soil type in this sub appellation are sandy soils, and are celebrated for growing old vine Zinfandel. Our vine-yards are certified through the Lodi Rules for sustainable winegrowing. Cabernet Sauvignon: 77 acres; Petite Sirah: 33 acres; “Old Vine” Zinfandel: 91 acres. Total acres in this AVA: 201.Cabernet clones: 337, 412, 338, 7.
