Louis Pommery Description

After a careful selection of the best quality grape supplies by Thierry Gasco before and during the 2015 grape harvests, Louis Pommery sparkling wine was developed using the traditional method, with fermentation in the bottle and ageing on the lees.

As is the Champagne custom, Thierry Gasco had already started the process of vatting the reserve wines from the second year of production.

The chosen blend is a blend of Chardonnay for 96%, with the other 4% being a hint of Pinot Noir

The California grown sparkling wine Louis Pommery is only the reflection of the beauty and freshness of nature in our glass. The whole becomes the expression of great grace and subtlety.

This wine captivates from the outset with its soft and delicate salmon pink color, which shines brightly in a perfect limpidity. The effervescence is rich and boasts very fine bubbles which absorb the light and impart an even more vibrant color to the wine. On the nose, the aromas of fresh and delicate red berries emerge, associated with touches of citrus fruits, like pomelos, all wrapped in a cocoon of Viennese pastry. One discovers without any surprise the aromas present on the nose, enhanced by a nice fullness and a perfect balance. Its finish is long and without any roughness, leaving a pleasant impression of this fruit that one loves to crunch.

Louis Pommery California Rosé will be appreciated in all circumstances, be it during an aperitif, to accompany a spring entrée or a salmon steak en papillote on a light drizzle of olive oil and a few drops of lemon.
