This Grands Echézeaux Grand Cru 2019, of a dark ruby color, expresses a complex nose with blackcurrant, clove and mocha aromas. The palate is ample and round offering a beautiful freshness. It uncovers licorice, mocha and almond paste notes. Remarkable length on the finish.

The 2019 Echezeaux Grand Cru is quite promising, offering up aromas of minty berry fruit, burning embers, warm spices and toasty new oak. Medium to full-bodied, rich and fleshy, with ripe tannins and a lusty, oak-inflected finish, it's quite marked by its élevage but typically tends to come around by the time it's bottled.
