The Saint Joseph parcel is quite small, only 0.37 hectares (0.9 acres). Vines are planted at 120 meters above sea level with a density of 4,400 vines per hectare. Yield: 33 hl/ha
Aromas of dark berries with hints of oak. Rich and polished with elegant acidity and a long finish.
"Moving to the reds, the 2019 Saint Joseph is deep ruby/purple-hued and has a classic Saint Joseph perfume of wet granite, peppery herbs, bacon fat, and tapenade, all supported by gorgeous darker berry fruits. Rich, medium to full-bodied, seamlessly textured, and perfectly balanced, it shows the ripe, sexy, powerful style of the vintage yet never loses its Northern Rhône soul and has good acidity and tannins. It's a thrilling Syrah."
