Purple-red with an appropriately opaque rim-edge; deeper depth at the
glass’s core.
Briar; blackberry and loganberry - both fruit and foliage. Rhubarb, dark
berries, and blackberry compote. And then the merest waft of oak’s memory.
Demands a large, rounded glass and time - time to note the aromatic changes
the wine slowly undertakes.
Upright berry fruits, then tannins more grounded and grounding; power and
guile. The power is the bottomless core of dark blackberry fruits; the guile
comes courtesy of the keen Adelaide hills pinot noir acidity. The tannins
return at palate’s end, with a manly handshake.
