Organically farmed by Luigi Galbiati, a pharmacist and young winemaker in Taranto, Puglia. On the nose, boba tea lychee jellies. Passionfruit with mango sweetness; a swell of mixed tropical fruit, without being heavily complex or cloying. GaraGino is not funky in the least and is bound by an herbage profile thats difficult to put a finger on. The best I can do is describe the note as a mid-summer, northern California "garrigue;" sun scortched wild flowers, tall grass, sage & blackberry brush. This wine is rich and juicy but with a surprising amount of levity. Would drink well with basically anything but alongside some spicy northern Thai or Laotian cuisine. Please go out on a limb and enjoy this special bottle!
