Winemaker Notes
An intriguing nose with smoky volcanic ash, and hints of Mediterranean scrub, followed by myrtle, blackberry, mulberry, and wild juniper notes. In the mouth, the wine shows a nice freshness and minerality with wild fruit and slightly vegetal notes. The tannins evolve and become more elegant, especially when the wine has time to breathe.

Fascinating aromas of iron, blood, and dark berries. Some flowers. Full-bodied yet fresh and intense with tar and pumice and plenty of red fruits. Chewy yet polished tannins buttress the wine nicely. Better in a couple of years. Try after 2025.

An enticing, graceful red, with a perfumed nose of dried rose petal, grilled rosemary and a touch of incense spices. This is plush and supple on the palate, offering a lovely range of dried raspberry and plum skin, plus a subtle underpinning of tar-tinged smoke notes. Hints of orange peel and red licorice linger on the persistent finish. Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio. Drink now through 2034.
