Duemani is the culmination of the life-long passions of iconic winemaker Luca d'Attoma (http://www.lucadattoma.com) and his partner Elena Celli. The Duemani project began in 2000 with the purchase of an uncultivated piece of land in Ortacavoli, located on the outskirts of Riparbella at the Tuscan coast, about a 40
minute drive from Bolgheri. The Mediterranean plays a key role in Duemani's
particular micro-climate. Standing in the center of this very warm vineyard you feel
the cool breeze zip between the rows of fruit. In stark contrast to Bolgheri's flat
terrain, the growing area of Montescudaio near Riparbella has an increase in elevation as the flat coastline morphs into low-lying coastal hills.
The estate is certified biodynamic by Demeter (http://www.demeter.net). As
proponents of the principles of biodynamic farming, the cultivation and care of the
vineyard's soil is of the utmost importance to Luca and Elena. They employ various
practices throughout the year to stimulate soil vitality and health which in turn
provides beneficial nutrients and oxygen to the vines.
The winemaking is done in wooden barrels and cement vats without the use of
artificial enological additives. The finished wines reflect the vision of Luca and Elena.
Luca has made some of Italy's greatest wines; he is now making his wine.
Duemani Cabernet Franc comes from careful selection in the vineyards, with great fruit, aristocratic tannins and complexity. The result is superb: mulberry, rosemary, brush and Mediterranean scrub. Sumptuous balance and impressive finish.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
An organic and bio dynamic wine, the 2018 Cabernet Franc Duemani presents a thick and nearly impenetrable wall of dark fruit, pressed blackberry, spice, smoky tar and tobacco. This wine shows impeccable aromatic integration with the high notes and the baritone notes delivered in beautiful synchronization. This wine outpaced my initial expectations following my first tasting of this vintage from barrel. The tannins are integrated and there is a sweet, fruity note on the full-bodied close.

This has an aromatic array of ripe red and black cherries, blackcurrants, blueberries, cloves, cedar, fresh herbs and licorice. It’s full-bodied, incredibly smooth and polished with layers of ripe fruit and chocolate, yet with lifting freshness. Fine, silky tannins and a long finish. Lingering chocolate and spices. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification.
