The combination of whole cluster fermentation, the gravely soils and 2019 vintage give a wine that perfectly blends power and grace. On the nose, dark red raspberry and cherry fruit mingle with notes of earthy spice and smoke. On the palate, the fruit stays dark and present but the rich earth, smoke and spice notes take center stage, making this one of Pascal’s most savory Pinot Noirs. The finish is earthy, smoky and firm, with the fine tannins helping push up the ripe fruit and black tea flavors that linger nicely. Decant for an hour now and enjoy at peak from 2025-2035+. A terrific Greves.
