The Goulée vineyard faced a similar scenario to that experienced at Cos d’Estournel, with lower temperature gaps. The ages of the vines, their deep roots and our light ploughing initiatives, along with the vineyard’s groundwater reserves and the cool breezes coming off the nearby Gironde Estuary, allowed our vines to adapt to meteorological conditions.
Goulée by Cos d’Estournel 2018 strikes an elegant balance between opulence and freshness.
It is a vivacious, dense wine whose aromas of ripe red and black berries are complemented by spicy and mineral notes.
