This well-born Haut-Médoc of Merlot (47%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (53%) is a beautiful ruby colour, with a nose imbued with harmonious scents of ripe black berries, toasted wood and eucalyptus. Commissioned by a sober and elegant eighteenth-century charterhouseeS., this 75-hectare cru classé adjoins the Saint-Julien appellation to the west. After having belonged between 1964 and 2005 to the Forner family, who renovated the cellars, it was acquired by Céline Villars-Foubet and Jean Merlaut, respectively at the head of Chasse-Spleen (Moulis) and Gruaud Larose (Saint-Julien).
