In the nose a bouquet of cherries and spices. In the mouth around, fruity with soft tannins.
Château Mazouet is located on the plateau of the Saint-Emilion appellation, in the town of Saint-Pey d'Armens. The name of the castle comes from the locality on which all the vines are located. The vines are 35 to 40 years old divided over an area of 17 acres.
Tasting notes
Beautiful intense grenade of color. In the nose a bouquet of cherries and spices. In the mouth around, fruity with soft tannins. Excellent with grilled meat dishes, roasted pork and hearty dishes.
89 Points Wine Enthusiast
An interesting blend for Saint-Emilion of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon (rather than Franc), this has a ripe, balanced feel to it. The tannins are behind the black currant fruitiness and acidity, giving the wine shape and potential. Drink from 2024. — Roger Voss
