Robust and powerful, but also fine and elegant. The vines thrive on a mighty gravel bank, adjacent to the pazelles of the most glorious wineries of the Médoc. Cassis, cedar, forest floor. Already charming to drink, it will gain in sophistication as it matures.
65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot
Matured for 12-14 months in French oak barrels with 30% new wood content.

If you are looking for a Haut-Médoc in a traditional style, which is rarely found anymore, this is the place for you. Gérard Bougès vinifies his wines far away from the mainstream. Instead of force, soft tannins and jammy fruit, we experience the advantages of the traditional style of bygone days. Breed and contour show the wines in their youth, which ergo require maturity. Lower alcohol (12% vol) with a high extract are not rare and typical. Likewise, these are traditionally used as excellent food companions, which refresh the palate while enjoying beef and game and make the wine itself feel round. The small châteaux in Bordeaux with great quality are becoming more and more important and thus also lovers.
