This is a structured wine with fine tannins that will allow it to age. Black currant fruits and spice come together in a concentrated bond. The wine needs plenty of time, wait to drink until 2025. Editors’Choice.

Lots of black licorice and blueberries with wet earth and mushrooms. Medium to full body, firm tannins and a savory finish. A blend of 66% cabernet sauvignon, 33% merlot and 1% petit verdot. Nicely done and underscoring the success of Listrac in the vintage.

Exhibiting aromas of raspberries and currants mingled with loamy soil and pencil shavings, the 2019 Fourcas-Dupré is medium to full-bodied, with fine depth at the core lively acids, and fine, powdery tannins that assert themselves on the youthfully chewy finish. This is a very solid effort from this Listrac estate. Best after 2023.

Intense cassis with black pepper spice, this has black chocolate shavings also, a pretty confident wine with high tannins. A touch soft through the mid palate but comes back on the finish. Good quality.
