IMPERO
Abruzzo is best known for it's rich, dark-fruited, reds from Montepulciano but if this bottle is any indication, look out for Syrah from the hills inland from the Adriatic Sea! It's 100% Syrah and made all in concrete, which allows the big, bold, blackberry, black raspberry and blueberry fruit to shine and the varietal's classic smoked meat, dark chocolate and earth flavors to weave in and out beautifully. There's power here, but no hard edges, as the flavors flow on through a broad and generous finish. Really good and worth getting to know
