The Apalta area offers one of the best expressions of the Colchagua valley. Its warm climate allows for a long ripening cycle, perfect for the Carménère and Cabernet Sauvignon varieties to develop soft tannin and great aromatic potential. This full-bodied, complex and powerful blend represents all the fruity power and softness of the Colchagua Valley, with aromas of ripe plum and bell pepper, leading to savory black-fruit flavors, with a dash of cumin, all intertwined. On the palate, it shows rich flavors of dark blackberry and plum, with hints of sweet spice, leather and smoke. Tannins are firm, supporting the palate through a slightly warm finish. Pairs perfectly with lean red meats (smooth loin, lever), white meats such as chicken, duck and pork that can be spiced, risottos and pastas with spicy sauces. It can also accompany grilled fish such as albacore or tuna. Can age well for another 8-10 years, making it even more exceptional.
