Color/appearance: Deep tawny/red. Red/orange tints. Aroma/bouquet: Developed toffee/rancio characters Palate: Complex rich spicy fruit flavors. Hints of toffee. Middle palate is redolent of ripe fruit with chocolate/liquorice notes. Maturation: Old oak casks.
Amber brown with flavors of intertwined dates, figs, and chocolate. It is well balanced and has a long, pure finish. The winery remains one of the quality leaders in the production of sweet wines from the warm terroir of Rutherglen. Moreover, the wines cannot be duplicated anywhere else in the world.
