Fairly dark garnet. Complex nose of spices, liquorice, soft wood. There is also a whole range of flowers: peony, carnation, lily. Full and dense entry. Round body, structured, with numerous very fine tannins. Noble mineral bitterness that stretches the wine through to the finish. Aromatic persistence of red berries with a reminder of the spices on the nose
