The "Palazzo della Torre" from Allegrini, one of the most renowned producers in Veneto, is a modern twist on the region’s classic winemaking techniques. This Super Veronese red is crafted using a blend of Corvina, Rondinella, and a small percentage of Sangiovese, with a portion of the grapes dried in the appassimento style—a method traditionally used to make Amarone. This process lends the wine added depth, richness, and complexity, making it both approachable and sophisticated. On the nose, the "Palazzo della Torre" offers inviting aromas of ripe black cherry, plum, and blackberry, interwoven with notes of vanilla, baking spices, and a hint of chocolate. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied with velvety tannins and a core of dark fruit flavors. The dried grape portion adds a layer of fig, raisin, and dried herbs, balanced by fresh acidity that keeps the wine lively. The finish is long and smooth, with lingering hints of spice, mocha, and tobacco.
