Benedè is a pure Catarratto IGT Sicilia, one of the oldest native vines in the Sicilian wine scene. Widespread in western Sicily, today this vine represents one of the leading white grape varieties of the island and produces a wine that is also authorized in the disciplinary of three DOCs: Monreale, Alcamo, Contea di Sclafani.
In 2005 Alessandro di Camporeale decided to use grapes from a Catarratto vineyard, located about 470 meters above sea level, cultivated in a terroir optimal for the soil and climatic conditions. From these generous and very healthy grapes comes Benedè, a white wine IGT Sicilia that combines persuasive aromas with an excellent acidity.
The Catarratto grapes, selected from a slightly delayed harvest, are harvested by hand and then caressed for 15 days by a cold fermentation, capable of preserving the varietal characteristics and obtaining, after natural malo-lactic fermentation and a 6-month aging in steel tanks,
Benedè is a pleasantly complex wine, with hints on the nose that denote notes of white peach, orange blossom and apricot. Ideal to serve at a temperature of 10-12°C,
