Description for the Everyday Drinkers

Masseria del Feudo Grillo Sicily, Italy 2020:  Masseria del Feudo is a family owned and operated organic farm that specializes in olives, peaches and grapes. This Grillo is has won many awards for being a fantastic value for the price. It opens with a fine and clear aroma expressing itself in a good complexity typical of the variety in which citrus notes, acacia honey and typical floral scents emerge, in the background spicy aromas of white pepper and currant emerge. On the palate the fruity part maintains maturity and sweetness well supported by good flavor and acidity. At the end of the tasting hydrocarbon notes stand out destined to increase in intensity with the aging of the wine.

Aivalis Nemea Agioritiko: Christos and Sotoris Ayvalis are a father and son team that started this winery in Nemea in 1997. The native grape here is Agioritiko (I-your-EE-tee-koh) which translates to ST. Georges grape. This region has been cultivating grapes since the 5th century BC and is the setting for many stories involving Hercules.  Agiorgitiko is the sole variety permitted in the Nemea appellation and performs admirably well in the hot Mediterranean climate there. Agiorgitiko is a remarkably versatile grape variety, and is used to make everything from light rosé wines to rich, full-bodied red wines with dark fruit flavors and plush tannins.

Isaac Fernandez Seleccion Boval: Isaac Fernandez Seleccion is the newest venture of the famous winemaker, Isaac Fernandez, who has spent more than 25 years producing some of the best wines in Northern Spain. He seeks to respect the identity of each vineyard and to nurture wines that balance power, finesse, and purity with the capacity to age. This wine is produced by Isaac Fernandez in partnership with a winery whose modern-day operations began in 1941. The winery is located in the heart of Rueda just south of the Duero River and has over 80 hectares of vineyards. Boval is a dark-skinned wine grape variety native to Utiel-Requena in southeast Spain. It is one of Spain's most planted grape varieties behind Tempranillo and Airén. Despite its relative obscurity: Boval grapes have long been used as a minor blending partner to the region's more glamorous grape varieties.
