Our Korbinian, the full-bodied, dark Doppelbock with light brown foam, wins beer-lovers over with a balance of fruity hints of plums and figs, a dark malt aroma - reminiscent of toffee, nuts and chocolate. Its roasted flavour goes well with smoked meat and fish as well as venison and poultry. Brewed according to our centuries-old brewing tradition on the Weihenstephan hill.
Korbinian Doppelbock has a strong character and even more flavor – named after Saint Korbinian to honor the founder of the Weihenstephan monastery.
The sweet notes are offset by roasted malt flavors making this beer an excellent accompaniment to smoked meats and fish. Korbinian doppelbock is also delicious with desserts or chocolate.
Flavour and Colour
Our dark doppelbock wins over beer lovers with notes of plums and figs, balancing the dark malt aromas reminiscent of toffee, nuts, and chocolate.
Foam and Aroma
The eye is immediately drawn to the attractive, plae brown, dense head of foam while the nose detects a light, fruity aroma - a perfect first impression.
